I bought a brand new IPhone SE a few years ago when it first came out. Battery was very good. After using it a while, battery is pretty poor now. I recalled not that long ago it was mentioned all iphone se owners were able to get a brand new battery for some cheap price... like 29 i believe?

Has anyone here done this and if so, how does the process work? Could you go to an iphone store and they replace the battery for you at that price or you need to ship it back to apple or go to apple store and give it to them and then they take a while to ship it back to you or you pick it up later on?

Go to the Apple website and go to the support section. There is a service/repair section with a battery replacement option. You have a choice to send it in for repair or take it to a local Apple store. You sign into using your Appleid and setup an appointment. I’m planning on doing the same for my backup 6S so I haven’t gone through the entire process yet..

Hi there. Do you know generally how long you have to book in advance for an appointment? Thus if you want to do an appointment now, generally how long is the earliest like how many days? Like is the earliest like a week etc or it could be faster?

Well i assume most take it to local apple store right? Since they would probably do it in 1 hour or so? But if you send for repair, well that means you going to be without a phone a week at least right?

How do you backup iphone?

Depends on the appointments they have available. Check online at https://getsupport.apple.com/

If you take it in they should replace it during the same visit, should take about an hour or so.

Connect your device to your computer to backup to iTunes. Or backup via iCloud

Hi there. When you go there and they do the replacement of the battery, do they do it in the back and then you wait outside or they do it right there and you could watch. Also when you say it takes an hour, how long does it take for them to physically open it and replace the battery. I can't imagine its 1 hour for that.

To those of you who done this, i assumed you all put a passcode on your phone right? The other thing is when you do this, they can't see what programs/apps you have on your phone right? Because for privacy reasons, im sure most ppl don't want even the apple ppl to look at their phone?

Has anyone here recently went to apple store to do this? How long could you book appointment for? Example when you book appointment, could you get one as soon as say in a few days?
[doublepost=1537674467][/doublepost]I like to ask something else. I had noticed i had upgraded the IOS to the latest one because i notice i got that message there is software upgrade available. I was in IOS 11 and recently just upgraded to IOS 12.

I believe my battery got worst when i did the upgrade to either ios 10 or 11 but don't know which one. Could that have caused this? Thus that is why my battery is not that good? When i first got iphone SE few years ago, battery was very good. So does that mean there is no point of getting the 29 dollar battery replacement at apple because i upgraded the ios? I assume i cannot make the IOS go back to 9 or whatever version it was?
