Hi,

I am new here so not too sure which category to post under.
I recently purchased an iPhone SE which works fine however when I use my fingerprint to unlock the phone the top left hand corner were the main page comes into focus always stutters a little. Its extremely annoying and I am not too sure if it is a software bug or the actual fingerprint sensor feeding erratic information to iOS...? I am running iOS 9.3.5. When the phone was first purchased it was running 9.3.3 and had no issues during the unlock. It's only after I flashed the phone with iOS 9.3.5 from two different sources and restored my backup that this started happening.. I'm coming up to the end of my 14 day try period and not too sure if I should take the phone back or not? The issue doesnt occour if I use my passcode to unlock the phone.

Thanks!

Was this solved? I'm sorry I'm now only seeing your post on this.
Did you go back to the Apple store and what did they say? Or have you tried updating to the latest iOS10 version.
Two friends of mine both have a iPhone SE are running iOS10 and don't have this issue. I'm still using a 5s and that is ok as well.

I had a similar issue. Updating to iOS 10 fixed it for me.

If you're not waiting for a jailbreak, then I'd update to iOS 10.2.

Currently my SE is rocking 10.2 and I have no major issues that I can notice compared to iOS 9.x.x

Hello!

Sorry for the delayed answer, festive season and all of that..!

Basically I worked it all out after days of testing. If you have a folder on your home screen with a " / " then a stutter will occur on iOS 9.3.5. So for example if you create a folder called "News / Finance" and put the weather app and some other app in the folder, upon unlocking the phone with your fingerprint the phone will have a minor graphic blip but because it happens so fast its difficult to diagnose so after removing folder after folder once I got to that folder the problem went away. Now with regards to the time flashing issue that happens when you unlock the phone. This only occors when you have a pending reminder on the home screen. Clear the reminders from the home screen and you will have no more time flash when unlocking your phone. Took me ages to work it all out..! Again, this is all with 9.3.5.

Hope this thread helps anyone else with this issue! :)
