I can’t figure out why I can’t download anything from the App Store that’s free even tho I have a credit card linked to my Apple ID it keeps telling me my card is being declined but they r free downloads ? When I first got my phone I downloaded all my apps I needed an the games I was already playing an had no problems an I didn’t have a card linked at the time . Why is it doing this ??? Someone please help I’m ready to throw this phone

I’d start with a hard reset of your phone(hold power and home buttons at the same time until the phone shuts off and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo, then release). If that doesn’t help, I’d sign out of the App Store and sign back in to see if that clears it up. If none of that works, looks like a trip to the Apple store to see what they suggest

I would also suggest contacting your credit card issuer to find out if in fact the card is still active. It's possible your credit card is being declined because it's no longer valid for whatever reason. If your credit card is ok and active, you then should contact Apple customer support.
