Hello,

I just wanna confirm, that there isn't any reasonable way how to fix this at the moment. Sometimes I got battery drain over night with no reason. I already checked links like:
About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan

But still - with no activity and no reason my phone was k.o. at morning. Here are some screens.

Basically - there is a bug in iOs but in this time, there is no solution? Thanks.
(/edit: i didn't set airplane mode at night - i just activate it after waking up to boost charging speed)

//edit 2: i just realized, that i was on low power mode through the night (bcs of color in screenshot - yellow).

Restore and setup as new without using a backup... It's possible you have some corruption in your backup, setting up as new will give you a clean version of iOS to see if it corrects the issue. If it doesn't you can always use your backup to get back to where you started

Try putting it in Low Power mode overnight & see if that makes a difference.
If you're going to put it in Airplane mode, might as well just turn it off unless you want to use it as an alarm clock.

Anyway - what difference does it make how much the battery drains over night? Why not just plug it in?

I was at at low pwr. mode - i just added comment to my original post, bcs of yellow color in the graph.

Also i found "bug" with siri, but this is for different topic.
I see "loading circle" at top of the screen , but if i open siri and then close it, it disappears. strange... It doing randomly.

I think these 2 problems havent same impact (battery drain) bcs there wasnt any siri activity during the night at graph log.

I just updated to 14.5 last night and lost 9% in 8h and 10 min of standby. Is that normal? I've heard that iPhones have excellent standby drain....

That is some insanely sharp drops, what apps are running? Please post a screenshot that shows the apps, there maybe a culprit that is refreshing in the background.
Do you have Background App Refresh turned on?

Hello, thanks for reply. Yes - background battery refresh was turned off. I was checking at that time information bellow chart and there was nothing. As you can see on screenshot, there is barely minimum activity at all. I am waiting for another situation like this.

Good thing I found this topic so I can add to this. Not sure what is going on here. The decline is actually steeper during the time I was sleeping compared to when I was using the SE. Airplane mode is off, Wifi/BT on, background refresh is off. Setting up as new would be the absolute last option for me since I would lose all my Watch data.

Yes it’s is small at 1821 mah but it is proportionate to the low res 4.7 screen, so one should get approx 36 hours in between charge with light to moderate use. That’s what I get in general with my SE 2 (Although kept on iOS 13). The OP should not be getting excessive battery drain overnight like this. Most likely it is a safari page with macros etc what cause the battery drain, I have had this on my 12 mini a couple of times.

Can you try toggling Wifi off before you go to sleep and see if it still declines? (You can still have cell service turned on.)

On my phone (not an SE2020) if I leave Wifi turned on overnight, I can lose 30% or more. Off - stays at 100%.

I did some fiddling last year and it seems to be something to do with IPv6. If I have that enabled for my network, the battery drains. Turn it off, and it doesn't. I have an Android work phone on the same network and it only drops about 2% overnight, Wifi on.

I was going to look into it further (I suspect some sort of frequent router announcement that wakes the phone) but I don't have any 802.11ac dongles that I can use to capture the traffic between the phone and router.

I had the SE2 in airplane mode and disabled Wifi as well as BT this night and I lost only 6% which is fine in my opinion. I will check if Wifi or BT is the culprit next. I have my Apple Watch connected to it but it's charging at night. Not sure why the Watch would cause it to drain so much battery over night. Same with Wifi though unless it's doing something in the background but the battery app isn't showing unusual behavior from the apps. I am using 5 GHz Wifi and the router is only a few meters away. I have IPv6 disabled so this can't be it.

Edit #1: Second test with only BT on, everything else airplane mode off. I lost ~4%. So it's either Wifi or I don't know what was going on.
