iphone serial number question

guys quick question, i inadvertently gave serial number of the phone to a buyer over the phone from CL, as he wanted to check remaining warranty? sale did not go through because of the price, but does giving just the serial number create any issue for me? thanks in advance.

I can't think of anything they could gain by knowing your serial number.

I suppose If the person works for ATT they might be able to cross reference the serial number with the IMEI number and deactivate the phone or find out your identity.
