I preordered an 8 Plus and completed it at 12:02AM on preorder day. It gave me a ship to home date of 9/22. On the Apple Store app it says the same ship date of 9/22 via next day delivery with an “order in progress” status. Does this mean it won’t change to a shipped status until 9/21? Just curious as I’ve always bought my phones in the Apple Store.

Some have already changed. Others won’t change until the day before. Either way, you’ll get it on launch day.

From my understanding yes that what it means. We will start seeing shipping progress and all late next week and as long as your delivery date says the 22nd you’ll get it on launch day.

That’s good. I’ve always used the reservation in store pickup in past even on launch week and it worked. I’m going on a trip and need it to deliver on the 22nd like it says.
