Iphone short lived

well ive had my iphone about 2 and a half weeks. so far it hasnt been that great of a experience. Had to change my phone number right off the bat because people were spamming text messages for the previous user. (recycled number).. battery has not impressed me and I must be in a bad att area because I get very low bars. this might be contributing to the battery issue.

its a cool phone for sure but I think im done with touch phones. I had a blackberry storm as well. I miss my boring run of the mill verizon flip phone.

right now both my verizon and att lines are active. I hate to cancel att so soon but it seems like my area just favors verizon. I hope they dont give me a hard time about it. I will have to send back the phone too wich will be a pain since I ordered it online.

I guess the point of this thread is to research first what your doin. because it is a pretty big hassle to back out even if its within the 30 days.

It's a shame man, I love my iPhone and my coverage is great. Coverage maps are your friend! At least you realized you did not want it within the 30 days.

You act as though those coverage maps are foolproof... I have had personal experience with both AT&T and Sprint, where there coverage maps claim that I should get "full coverage", but in reality, at the university I was visiting, I got dropped calls and dead zones all the time. There is NO substitute for real-world testing.l

that coverage map is what will keep my from moving anywhere in the country with forests and mountains. maybe in 21 years when i'm 50 they will have 3g in yellowstone area or something

Even the thorght of parting from my iPhone scares me. If I could not check facebook/watch some you tube/surf the net/check Twitter/plug Into car stereo as iPod/watch a film/spy on people with live cams/listen to police on police scanner/check my email/chat on msn with I'm+ etc etc I'd truly be lost without this incredible device. And I'm so glad I got one.

Its the closest thing to having a laptop in your jacket with permanant wifi. I've had my 3g 6 months and I love it twice as much now as the day I got it.

I live smack dab in the middle of Hollywood, California and my address is in the "Orange" of that map (which is "BEST" coverage apparently) and I cannot make or receive calls in my house. I have to have my phone sitting next to a winter and use a bluetooth headset.

Even while walking around my block I can drop a call more frequently then I'd like.

Bottom line: their coverage is awful and that map is not accurate by any means.
