Hello,

I want to have an App open at a specific time each day, but the App in question is not showing up in the list of available Apps when I start off my shortcut with the "Time of Day" function.

However, in other functions, for instance, "When 'App' is Opened or Closed do this action", the App in question does show up.

Why is that?

J.

SOLUTION:

Turns out, if you are trying to get an App to launch at a specific time of day, and the App isn't showing/available in the "Apps" section of "Shortcuts", this is what you have to do:
  1. Shortcuts
  2. "Automation" button at bottom center of screen (iOS 14.4)
  3. "Create Personal Automation"
  4. "Time of Day"
  5. Set Time
  6. Next
  7. Set Days (I was only able to set "Daily", "Weekly" or "Monthly" in iOS 14.4, not individual/sporadic days)
  8. "Add Action"
  9. Next
  10. "Scripting"
  11. "Open App"
  12. "Choose"
  13. Choose your App
  14. Next
  15. Review your Shortcut
  16. "Done"
