I chose to Erase All Content and Settings from my iPhone via Settings ->General -> Reset. While it was doing so, my iPhone shut down and has not been turning on since. It goes to the Apple logo and shuts down. What should I try before going to the Apple Store?

Hey thanks. I plugged it into a plug but it still won't turn on. And when I connect it to my Mac, my Mac doesn't recognize it because the iPhone won't turn on. I made an appointment at the genius tomorrow night. Thanks again!

The exact same thing happened to me last night! Can you tell me how you fixed it please?

Thanks

Same thing happened to me!

Here's what you do:

1. Make sure the phone is off.
2. Plug it into a computer.
3. Hold down the Home button + the Sleep button
4. When the apple logo pops up, count to 5, then release the Sleep button, but keep the Home button pressed down.
5. Wait another 5-8 seconds and release the Home button.
6. Now a USB Dock cable picture should pop up then just restore the iPhone.

Same exact thing happened to my 3G last night.

Great! I'll try that out when I get home.

When you say plug it in do you mean in the wall or on my macbook?

Sorry, plug it into a computer. It doesn't necessarily need to be plugged into anything, but you'll have to connect it to your computer to restore anyway.
