iPhone shuts down app / resprings to home screen

Hi guys,

I've noticed my iPhone 11 Pro Max has started to act strange over the last couple of weeks.
The screen goes black, get the spinning circle briefly, then it goes back to the home screen.

I could be jumping from one app to another, or starting a new Whatsapp conversation when it does this.

Anyone seen this and have a fix for it, or is it a case of reset the phone and see how it goes?

Yep. I noticed this on 3 occasions whilst using Whatsapp. Now that you mentioned, feels good to be in the same boat. I assumed that my app was getting updated or something.

I've been getting the same - it's very infrequent so I haven't been able to 'track' what I've been doing when it happens

Hi there, I’ve been noticing resprings lately on my XS, the strange thing is that it has happened using native apps too. Currently on iOS 14.0.1 battery is 85% life usage. Never had this issue before in this version until last week.

Same, I have had resprings daily. I cant pinpoint it to Whatsapp and sometimes its also Safari. Anyone has a clue whats going on?
