iPhone SIM card and ringer problem

Hi All,

Just got an unlocked and jailbroken iPhone for T-mobile. Everything was working perfectly until a few hours ago, when I walked through some heavy rain. Now my iphone is having problems with the ringer and external speakers as well as detecting my sim card. I was concerned it might be water damage, but I checked the indicator through the headphone jack and it's white. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks.

PS. Already tried resetting, and turning it off.

Sounds like water damage to me.

Thanks very much for the tip, I took down the pic right away. Newbie mistake.
Anyways, I am half thinking that it's water damage now, because after letting it sit under my lamp for an hour or so, the ringer came back to normal. I'm still getting no signal whatsoever though, alternating between No Service and no bars showing at all with no provider or anything. Could my sim card have been damaged? Thanks again.

Thank you for following my advice, I will now remove the information about the third picture in my post above and in this one as well once you post a response. I also tried contacting you through a PM and eMail but you didn't accept them, I'm not trying to say that you should accept them, I am just trying to point out the urgency that I, and hopefully you, now, felt for getting that picture off the web. With the information that you provided by posting that picture, someone could shut down your iPhone rendering it completely useless. With the serial number, they could do a number of things like view your warranty. That may not seen like a huge problem but could cause huge problems in the future, like if they register your device under their name.

Well, you mentioned you tried a reset and reboot, have you tried a restore. It could be a software issue that coincidently happened after you walked through the rain. A restore should fix that. Before you restore, let your iPhone complete the sync and backup so that you can restore from a backup and lose no data. If that doesn't work then I will have you restore from no backup, i.e. Set Up As A New Phone. Then if that works, you can sync from a backup.
