Moved to a mac six months back, love it. Two of us work on the same mac (macbook pro) using fast switching. (the other person VNCs into the other account).

When I fast switch to another account on a mac, the xcode can run in multiple accounts but the iphone simulator does not work. It says "Simulator already in use in another account"

I have another macbook (not pro) and it seems to work fine.

Does anyone know how to work around that ? or how to fix this.

thanks for reading.

Facing the same issue

Hi, Even I am facing the same issue. We have 3 different people trying to develop the iPhone app. I just upgraded to SDK 2.2.1 from SDK 1.2. We were not facing the issue in SDK 1.2. In 2.2.1 Multiple instances of Simulator is not running even if it is in different logins with fast switching mode...

Anybody has any work arounds? Please reply.

Have you tried installing Xcode to two different places on the machine so you can run separate instances of it and the simulator?
