You gotta work for your free iphone, get referrals and sign up for BS.

At least, thats why I don't do them.

Google around for reports on the 'getting a free ipod' process. It turns out that it's possible to get it to work, but most people put a lot of work in and get caught in one of the many legal loopholes they put on to keep you from getting the product, and even if you manage to avoid all the contractual traps, you wind up having to put in a ton of awful work, put your credit and identity at risk, and annoy all your friends and family.

It's not al all worth it. Even if you're broke, you'd spend much less time working at a part time minimum wage job to get the money to buy the product than the number of hours you'd spend trying to get delivery on this "free" offer.
