iPhone skips a song when I press next

When I want to change a song and I press next it will skip a song. For example

Song 1
Song 2
Song 3

I'm listening to Song 1 and I hit next to play Song 2, but it will skip straight to Song 3. Any ideas what this is? I've never heard of it before.

Nope. It skips one song exactly every time. I've got about 20 Beatles songs and I'll listen to the top one click next and will go to the 3rd, click next and it will go to the 5th and so on. It does this for every artist I have and only started doing it a few days ago.
