iPhone Skype QUESTION!!!

I just recently heard that skype was ported to the iPhone. Im very excited. I am looking to buy an iphone because of this. I just need to know a few things.

Can the iPhone skype receive incoming calls? And if your iphone is not inside the skype app will you receive these calls? And finally, if your iphone is off will it then redirect to your skype mailbox? (providing you have one.)

This is the only Skype version that I know exists for the iPhone, and as I understand it calls you to your phone number and you have to pay for that local call cost.

Please post details if there is a native Skype app like the one we can use on our macs/pcs (100% VOIP, without the extra local call).

Yeh thats the app i saw! It looks sweet and if its running the real skype then you should be able to buy your own number, have a mialbox and call free US and CANADA for $5.50 a month! haha its a joke! its actually amazing.

I was just looking to clarify if people here had used it at all. See what its like.

I have used it and it is shockingly bad.

It never worked from skype to skype for me.

The only thing that worked was a call to non Skype phone and this is done by calling yourself and calling the other person. This method goes through your credit like there is no tomorrow.
