I am on my third iPhone 3G and am really reluctant to take it back to Apple for replacement for fear of getting another iPhone with worse issues than mine. My current iPhone is perfect other than a small amount of light leak and some issues with the hardware buttons. My sleep/wake button rattles like its not seated correctly and does not stick out as much as normal ones do. My home button needs to be pressed hard for the phone to notice it is being pushed and for some reason when the phone is plugged in it needs to be pressed even harder (weird I know). Anyways, I was wondering if I took apart the phone per pdaparts.com take apart instructions if I could fix the buttons by seating them properly. I really don't think Apple will replace this phone because the last time I went the genius got pretty rude with me and told me he just couldn't keep replacing phones for me. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Screw the apple geniuses. Keep taking it back till its perfect period. Don't settle for less. And for the love of god don't take your phone apart...its under warranty.
