iPhone - slow pixel, exchange or keep?

I am on my 2nd iPhone (first had a few bad pixels) this one has somthing very strange... when I unlock after a few minutes on standby (or turned off) I see one very bright red pixel on the screen. In a couple seconds this red pixel "warms up" to match the screen. After that point it works fine, in any application I use.

Of course my concern is, if I trade this one in I could get another with an even worse screen (like the "white dots"). My iPhone has the "original" version "5" screen.

I need some opinions ....

UPDATE: based upon the lack of responses, I rolled the dice & went ahead and exchanged my iPhone - lucky the new one works great, & has a clear sharp #"5" screen.

I've never heard of a slow pixel before. Usually LCD pixels either work or they don't. Delays, especially one that just happens on startup, are sorta implausible. That said, I'd want to keep it just for the weird/cool value of it, sorta.

At the same time, who knows what could be causing it, and of course, there's no telling if down the road it might get worse.

Maybe it's an odd software thing, where the display isn't being addressed correctly or something... just grasping at straws here. Have you tried doing a refresh in iTunes to see if that makes it go away?

Definitely a first for me as well. Tried everything to fix, from a hard rest to a complete restore from iTunes. no change - when I showed the genius at the apple store he had never seen anything like it - since it went back to normal after "warming up" - got a new exchange on the spot. (the new iPhone has 1 pixel stuck blue that only stands out on a black screen , so I am just going to live with it.
