Hey all. Hopefully you can help.

I am trying to set up my work email (basic POP or IMAP, preferably the latter) on my iPhone. I've had SOME success getting it to receive mail, but I've only managed to send once, I think using port 143, but then it automatically reverted to port 465.

My server admins have told me to try 25, 27, 143, 465, 993, either with ssl or without, to no avail. It's driving me nuts.

I'm trying on mail.companyname.com for incoming, and mail.companyname.com:port for the smtp.

Any ideas? HELP!
Thanks

Are you sure your SMTP HOST name is the same for both incoming and outgoing? Also, did you set the correct userid/password for outgoing. Normally you can say use same as incoming but with iPhone it appears you have to put it in twice.

Yes, 100% sure they're the same. And sure the username and password is correct too. I'm stumped.
