Hi,

Being the impatient B*stard that i am, I downloaded and installed a developer copy of the iPhone 3.0 software last week.

What I now want to do, is put the official release of the software onto my iPhone (3G).

What is the best way to do this? Will it be to downgrade then upgrade, etc.

I would really appreciate a talk though of how to do this. With the promise i will be more patient in the future!

Thanks

Word is the GM is the official release. If the build number is the same, then it is the same. But no one knows FOR SURE until it is released today.

But, if "check for updates" says it is up to date, then you already have the official release because i'm pretty sure it checks the build number.

I updated to 3.0 too. It says I have the latest version. However it doesn't update carrier info either, so no MMS? (Though it should be supported)... Hmmm:confused:

No MMS on AT&T till "late summer".

I'm not on AT&T :p There's international users too, you know :p

That said, I figured out that if you click "Restore" (instead of update) it'll actually check with the server and download the final version, and install that. So, enjoy! (Not sure if there's a difference, but hey can't hurt):)
