iPhone Status Bar

OK, so I'm a noob to jailbreaking. I just jailbroke my iPhone 3GS 3.0.1 today. I have both Cydia and Icy installed on the phone and have changed a few simple things, like my SMS theme, etc. But my first question is:

How do you put icons for text messages, etc in the status bar?

You will get both icons unless you pick one...

i turned off notifier icon, but kept reminder...and then using the default irealsms icon for messages.

well im brand new to irealsms, i only use it for the quickreply (volume up+touch) and i love the feature but i HATE the interface of irealsms and i dont like how i dont get the stock txt app popup anymore. the irealsms popup always seems to cut off some text of the last line..its just annoying. i also dont like the irealsms mms support, ive got mms working on my iphone and the default app still popups a picture preview when i get a mms so on that. maybe i will have to check this app out.

try biteSMS instead
