At about 12:30pm today (California), I went to check my stocks and the iPhone Stocks App said Apple was +19.90, and I thought wow, but then subtracting from 108, it didn't seem right that it was only at 88 after Friday's rally of Apple. So, I went to finance.yahoo.com and it said Apple was +11.59, and that the previous close was at 96.80. What baffles me more than anything is that the Stocks App on the iPhone alleges that the data comes from Yahoo.

Has anyone else noticed any other discrepancies? This is the first time in the 2.5 months that I have had my iPhone that this has occurred.

Their whole finance page was screwy too. At one point today, it told me AAPL was up 21 and change.

Most free stock market apps have a 20 minute delay in reporting numbers.
These numbers change every second, so what you see can vary widely based on when you update.
Also, the built in Stock app does not report after hours trading numbers.

Please, this has nothing to do with after hours trading. Plain and simple the data from yahoo is just plain wrong. I noticed it to this week on AAPL and other stocks as well during market hours. It's not very critical since you would be a fool to trade based on the default stock app's information, but still it's a little annoying.

I've been having problems with the stocks App as well, but not exactly the same one. On my stocks page the apple summary will have the chart right, but the numbers next to it will say +0.00. Same with percentage. I'm operating on OS 3.0. Anyone have any ideas?

Yea it used to always be right, keeping the 20 minute delay in mind, but lately it has been saying +0.00 everytime I load it, and when you change it, it will say +0.00%, and the next on will say -149.1B. Any ideas there?

Are you opening it after market close?
