Every time there is an iOS update my charger or iPhone stops charging properly. The only reason I knew there was an update is because of this exact behaviour and low and behold I check the update and yes there is a new ready to be installed.

My iPad took 7 (yes I counted them) attempts before I had to throw it away after Apple said it was the charging port, what a coincidence. However my iPhone they replaced for the exact same reason because I logged the incidents of it occurring, how weird..

I’m near enough certain Apple send something to phones and iPads around the release of iOS updates that does something to the battery sockets, but it’s always to do with the battery! Whether it’s poorer performance or this issue they code something so people have to upgrade their phones.

I am sooo over this company, seriously they are bunch of tossers and after this one goes I am out for good!

Your concerns aren’t supported by millions of others who have never suffered the problem your describing.. Feel free to exercise your right as a consumer to spend your money where you wish...

It’s comments like this which are pure delusion!

There are untold amounts of reports like this, even within an extended circle of friends.

In any case, just pay attention to when your charger suddenly starts not connecting properly and see what is around the corner

I’ve been using iphones since 2012 and updated to the latest version of iOS offered when it was available and have never had anything happen like your describing. Over 8 different devices, guess I’ve just been lucky then? As I said, if you choose not to spend your money on Apple devices that’s your choice, I don’t see how voicing it makes it on a public forum makes your assertion anymore true. Can you please site official sources or tests that can support your “Apple is killing charging ports through updates theory”?

You just haven’t noticed. Keep an eye now I’ve mentioned it
