hi my iphone5 got stuck on the apple logo and i can't do the :"hold the power and home button" thing cz my home button is broken. And whenever i plug my phone to my mac nothing happens. I left all night so the battery will run out but when it got back ON,its stuck again, and if i pluged it to my mac while rebooting and pressed the home button it won't enter DFU mode..... PLEASE help!!!!!

iphone stuck at apple logo after evasion jailbreak

Why jailbreak if you know your home button is broke???? Nice paper weight

You need to get the Home button fixed before you can do anything.

That said it sounds like you didn't follow the instructions were you're suppose to restore to 7.0.4 before attempting the jailbreak.

Oh Dear.

first thing to fix is that home button if you ever want to enter DFU mode to restore your device to a usable state

OMG!! this made my day. Well you couldnt take it to apple to fix the button? most iphone 5's are still within warranty.

many iphones are bought within the first 3 months of release date though :)

But it's there a 12 month warranty for this kind of thing? I bought mine the day it came out which was the end of October meaning up until a few months ago it would still be under apple care.

hmm, I guess I just assumed that the OP's power button broke just a few days ago

If you can't get it to enter into DFU mode then you're simply not doing it right. If you can't turn the device off, hold the power and home button together until it turns off. Keep holding the power and home button, and when the Apple logo appears, count 10seconds (during which the display should turn off) and then release the power button, keeping the home button pressed.

EDIT: Person beneath me pointed out that your home button is broken. sorry, i missed that. I'd suggest getting a replacement home button?

His home button is broken....

Can't he use RedSn0w to put it into DFU mode without the need to hold the homebutton?

Best bet is to use a program such as redsn0w or ifunbox or something that has a option to put your phone in DFU mode without the use of the devices buttons... Don't worry this has happened to me before (broken power button)
