Hello,

I have an iPhone that I have recently unlocked. At first, I used it with a SIM card here in Egypt and it was working fine. Ever since I changed SIM cards, my card wasn't being read. So I simply rebooted it, thinking it would help, without knowing it would reboot to the begining. I searched several forums, and they all tell me to connect to iTunes and restore it. I tried connecting to iTunes, yet the iPhone is not being read.

Any help please?

try holding home and power down for a while until it resets.

If that doesn't work, you will probably need to go into DFU mode to restore.. Search on how to enter DFU mode if you need to.

yes either way you will have to reset your iphone. hopefully you have a backup through itunes

hi,

i tired everything but i can't get in to DFU mode..is there anything else i can do?

Are you on OSX 10.5.6?

If so you'll need to get a powered USB hub to connect the phone and get it into DFU mode, as there is a bug that stops DFU working normally with that version
