my iphone is stuck on reboot...

i've tried connecting to the comp. while its off, and the apple logo shows up and then after a while it vibrates but the logo is still there...
=[

what should i do?

i dont want to keep restoring and JBing

Same problem here. Restored again. Jailbroke again. Same problem. iTunes was running the first time but not the second (nor was iPodService.exe).

I had the same problem last night.

Used newest quickpwn (2.2.5-2) in Win XP on unibody MBP (to avoid the USB issue others have reported on the mac side). Stuck at the boot up apple forever.

Restored in OSX, then used quickpwn on OSX after using a USB hub and all worked well.

Never did get the Win version to work...

Try doing a full DFU restore, then JB again.

For some reason I always get stuck in reboot whenever I try to JB a phone with any info on it, it has to be completely clean before the JB works.

This is for QuickPWN, Windows Vista.

Yes, it's best to jailbreak a clean iPod/iPhone. If it's filled up with music and pages of apps, sometimes it doesn't like it. Although, I don't know exactly why yours isn't working... Try DFU restore than jailbreak with WinPwn. That's the Official program, and should work.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

Do you have a non .torrent link? University blocks the download of .torrent files. Extremely annoying because I download legal torrents.

Actually, the link you gave me for WinPwn was QuickPwn 2.2.5-2, which was exactly what I used (except I downloaded from the official website).

If I jailbreak with no data on it... how will I get my data back? I don't want to write my contacts down and reconfigure my whole phone.

I don't mind removing all of my apps, but I don't want to lose my contacts or my saved text messages.

Syncing with iTunes creates a back up of your phone.

True, but if I do this:
Backup
Wipe all settings
Set as new iPhone
Jailbreak

Then how do I get my settings back? If I set it up as a new iPhone, it will assume that I lose all settings. :-/

Also, I tried to get WinPwn but it only did up to firmware 2.0.5. :(

I'm not sure about the first part, haven't restored in a while, you'l have to search around. Sorry.

However, there are WinPwns for versions up to the latest 2.2.1 (2.2.1 WinPwn is called 2.2.5-2). The official Dev Team torrent for it is here.

I'll do a search on that. I managed to download the .torrent (sometimes the filter lets it through) so I'll try to get that (coming in at 1.5KB/sec right now).

The file it's downloading is QuickPwn-225-2.zip.... isn't that QuickPwn? I already have QuickPwn 2.2.5-2, which is what I initially used.

I downloaded... WinPwn 2.5-BETA2, which only went up to 2.0.2 (as seen below).

Edit: I downloaded said torrent 'WinPwn' and it is exactly what I used intitially: QuickPwn 2.2.5-2. :-/

Ohh, I understand now.

Finally got a chance to try out some things. Turns out setting it up a a new iPhone worked. :O I'm sorry for the trouble.

I also was able to check 3 of the 4 boxes at the bottom of the second tab in iTunes so that the contacts, e-mail addresses, and etc. were all taken from my PC and put onto my iPhone. :D Thanks!
