For the last week, when I plug in my iPhone to backup and sync, iTunes completely freezes. I've tried searching for solutions and nothing I have read has worked. I have the most up to date iTunes and iPhone software and OS 10.5.5.

I've tried turning off AirPort, using different USB slots, reinstalling iTunes, deleting my library. I can't restore my phone because iTunes freezes. I don't know what else to try! Please someone help me out

Here is the solution

HERE IS THE SOLUTION: What it usually is is that your have a "do you want to sync contacts" or "do you want to sync calendars" popup window in back of itunes. Once you accept the sync the frozen synching sequence goes away.

lol i had the same problem, now i feel retarded 'cause that's exactly what was wrong.
