iPhone Syncs with @mac.com account!!

If you delete emails from your mac.com account, or move them to different folders(on your Mac), your iPhone will wirelessly sync and remove deleted messages from your phone and keep files organized. This is obviously a huge time saver...no more individual edit->delete on the iPhone.

It also works in the opposite direction. What ever you do on your iPhone, syncs with your home computer...wirelessly...automatically

isn't this just called...imap...or are there special features they enabled to deal with the way iphone is programmed.

Standard Imap behavior. Not that its not convenient, but not unique to .mac or the iPhone. Many email services are IMAP capable, gmail being the most notable exception.

To the OP, do you know you can "swipe" to delete an email (a la Newton scribble)? Easier in some instances than edit delete, and I was surprised how many iPhone users I have met that didn't know they could do it. Drag your finger from left to right across the email in the list and the delete box appears.

Do you have a TIME INTERVAL Set so that the Sync only happens say every 15 min? Unlike Yahoo which is Push so no need for Poll Interval.

The email is syncing is cool, so is the web gallery stuff. But why not allow your 8g iphone become an 18gig iphone. Enable us to use the idisk on the iphone!!!! I must say i sure would like to add a app called "idisk" to the front window. An app button would be much cooler than logging on through safari, although i wouldn't mind that either. Apple would sell more .mac accounts too, or i would buy one at least.

Have you looked at Telekinesis? You need a computer to be on to stream from, but it is rather close to what you're asking for -- and it's free and only limited by your hard disk space.

I regularly use it to stream things out of my iTunes library -- i.e. TV shows and movies when stuck on call at work and I blow through more than can be stored on the iPhone without reencoding.

Plus you get all of your documents too. It's pretty nifty, especially considering how quickly it's moving along.

I've even watched movies streamed on EDGE (shh, don't tell AT&T... don't think they'd appreciate that). I just turned off auto-lock and let it buffer for about 5 minutes, and after that it kept going just fine. Obviously it cries for Wi-Fi, but sometimes that's not an option.
