I have an unlocked iPhone on O2. Have had it a month - text messages have been working fine, i can send them, and i get them too.

However, for some reason I no longer get any text messages from O2 (like missed call updates), and I no longer get text account balances from Lloyds TSB or Egg. I dont believe these have ever worked with my iPhone.

Any idea why text messages appear to be working fine.... except for these O2 and banking ones....?

Does the iPhone have problems with text messages coming from senders who use text as the number, which o2 and banks etc commonly do?

Instead of specifying a sender number when using the ClickaTell API I can specify any text I want, which is what those guys do. Maybe the iPhone doesn't like that?

One of the photos from T3 contains a text from "o2" explaining how to setup voicemail. I'm guessing as this text worked, they fixed the problem in the 1.1.2 firmware. I don't know for sure, so just a guess.
