How come my phone rings once when I get the message and then again 10 minutes later if I don't open the message? How do I turn this off?

You can't turn it off.
I wish you could, as it is annoying.. especially if you are on vibrate, in class..

yes... exactly... and i dont know whether i've received one or two messages...
okay that sounds more easy to detect than it really is.
I did read on here recently that you don't have to actually open the message to kill the reminder, just touch the home or power button when the message arrives.
I could have sworn when i updated the Firmware (that added this) it asked me if I wanted to use it or not. I clicked yes. You'd think the option would be there somewhare though.
