Sorry if this is the wrong section this is my first post. I bought my iphone 6 a couple of weeks ago through ATT's used phone program and it came with ios 8.1.2 and I did not update since I wanted to jailbreak. So I tried to do so and realized that apple is no longer signing the update so will i have problems since the iphone came with ios 8.1.2 I was watching Icrackuridevice's video and he said that jailbreaking off an ota update will cause problems.

I just got my 6+ a week or so ago and it has 8.1.1 and i jailbroke it with no issues.

Did you use it before jailbreaking? I have been using my iphone, it has apps on it do I have to restore?

I take it you've never jalbroken an iphone? If not i'd suggest you either watch some youtube videos on how to jailbreak 8.1.2 or read a guide on it.

I watched a couple videos and I turned off my password find my iphone etc. but none of them specify if I have to restore and if I do i don't know if it will force me to update.

Once your jailbroken there is no need to restore unless you mess something up and if you do you will have to update to the latest version of IOS 8.1.3 which is the only version of IOS 8 that is being signed by apple so BE CAREFUL once you jailbreak.

Just got my 6 plus 2 days ago and it came with 8.1.2. On the way home I "erased all content and settings" then jailbroke and set up as new. I'm not getting the battery life I was hoping for about the same as my 6 was so might try a "reset all settings" after a couple weeks...

Download semirestore8, it was so easy and I was able to restore my iPhone 6 on 8.1.2 and keep my jailbreak. Seriously the easiest thing. My iPhone was restored and I still have Cydia and my jail break.
