iPhone thinks its connected to a speaker doc

Has anyone seen this? My iPhone constantly thinks its connected to a speaker doc thing. When it starts up it gives that notice that the device is unsupported and has radio interference, and if i want to enter airplane mode.

Also if I restart the iphone, it turns off, then turns itself on back again. Plugging in a charger does not seem to do anything so I have a dead iPhone.

Any ideas?

I get that message from time to time when it is docked... I just ignore it, not sure what it is coming from. I've heard that it might be from dirty terminals on the iPhone or dock, but mine look clean.

Ya, I think it was a hardware short or something. Got a new phone from the geniuses.

how to fix this

I had the same problem but found a solution. Plug the phone into the device and play music. While still in the ipod app and playing music, unplug the iphone. The music will now be playing out the speakers. However, don't press the home button, because as soon as you leave the ipod, the "unsupported device" message will pop up again and the problem will be back. So, while music is still playing, do a hard reset. And the problem is solved.
