iPhone to Pixel Fold - go on; who's made this move?

I'm seriously considering selling my 15PM and AWU now that I'm constantly using my Pixel Fold (business number is eSIM, personal number is physical SIM) and I've got a Samsung Watch 6 Classic 47mm landing with me next week too

I'll miss the AWU TBH; it's superb. The iPhone, not really. Fantastic phone yes, but Android for me has always suited my needs better & the fold is doing the job of both phone and tablet for me now

Anyone on here made this switch permanently? If so; how have you got on/been finding it?

I honestly found the Google Fold not be my cup of tea when I had it for a few months. In the states, I found the OnePlus Fold to be superior to it. Thankfully, Google will be fixing a lot of the shortcomings from the first version. It just felt and looked…outdated.

I always keep the latest iPhone and an Android flagship. I will likely get the GPF 2 in the Fall when it’s released.

I don't think the Fold is outdated at all; but everyone has their own opinions. It looks superb and feels great in the hands. I've got the Spigen Slim Armor Pro case on it and that feels great too (and the spines protected)

Google Folds are down the line enough for niggles to have been ironed out etc; mines been faultless and I thoroughly enjoy using it. But I'm also not a power user (don't game etc) and for pictures it's generally click n shoot

For me, having the 15PM is now hugely overkill; just a sod you can't have an Apple Watch without an iPhone! It'd be so much better if you could connect it to the likes of a Mac or iPad etc

I agree. I don't think the Fold is outdated at all. I've actually even come to appreciate the bezel on the bigger screen because I don't have accidental touches like I always did with the Z fold. My only issue is the Tensor 2 SOC. May not be an issue to everyone but reception and battery have just been subpar for me. I'm usually always near a charger so not a huge issue, but it is one nonetheless. I don't game much but I am constantly using outlook email for work and Procore for my construction projects both of which are taxing on the battery. But all in all it really is my favorite device to use even if I do find myself using the P8 Pro more.

I agree. I don't think the Fold is outdated at all. I've actually even come to appreciate the bezel on the bigger screen because I don't have accidental touches like I always did with the Z fold. My only issue is the Tensor 2 SOC. May not be an issue to everyone but reception and battery have just been subpar for me. I'm usually always near a charger so not a huge issue, but it is one nonetheless. The form of the Pixel Fold is much, much better and even though it's not as tall; the width of the front screen suits my needs perfectly

I much prefer it for WhatsApp/Textra (SMS) than my iPhone as the Swiftkey keyboard is just better on Android (not a fan of Gboard TBH)

Zero issues when it comes to signal and battery life either; it's worked fine for me here at home and when out & about and also fine when up in the Highlands. Then again that's more to do with network coverage than anything else...

The only 'balance' I need to suss out is how well I can get on with the Samsung Watch 6 classic 47mm; when the bloomin thing arrives!

If you intend to use the Galaxy watch for any sort of GPS activity you'll be sorely disappointed - the accuracy is terrible and inconsistent. As a smartwatch it's OK though.

Nope. No need for GPS. Just as a smart watch and for when I'm training etc

Absolutely, tried both and the Garmin is far superior. That is just my opinion though.

I don't need accuracy; it's for weight training/powerlifting and some walking, that's it

Just like to have the access to that basic stuff as I did with my AWU
