Well, I’m trying android and S21 Ultra seemed like a better choice for me over the new S22 Ultra. I got me a 2 month old 256 unlocked and it’s a pretty phone but I can’t successfully get this part to work. Seems if I move the cable it disconnects. Is this a thing or is the port on a 2 month phone broken? Or are the iPhone cables the culprit?

I'm mo help with the cable but is it possible to do this via wifi?

I use Smartswitch via wifi with each new phone, I haven't tried iphone to samsung though.

There's a big rift in performance between lightning and usb-c.

Yeah I could use that I was just worried about the plug being messed up.

It’s always a possibility. I think you would have to do more troubleshooting to figure out what the problem could be.
  • Does it disconnect when you jiggle only the lightning side?
  • Does it disconnect when you jiggle only the USB-C side?
  • Does it disconnect when you move only the cable and not the ports?
  • Does another cable work any better?
  • Does the iPhone need to stay awake during the transfer process? (Could it be disconnecting when the iPhone goes to sleep?)

I think usb-c is way faster and lighting is as fast as USB 2.0 speeds if I can remember my A+ coursework.

USB-C is only the physical jack. The phone itself can still be at USB2 speed. Only high end Samsung Galaxy S series or Pixel phones are USB3. Majority of other Android phones are still USB2 as well even though they use USB-C. Xiaomi’s flagship Xiaomi 12 are still USB2.

Sorry for not updating. I figured it out. It was my cable I was using. I’ve tried several other cables and they all work fine. Threw the others in the trash.
