I was in the local (Southlake, TX) Apple Store a couple of times in the last few days and noticed that no one was looking at the IPhones. They have maybe 12-16 out in one corner of the store and I was the only person over there both times. . .not sure why or what it means but I suspect that Apple managed the rollout well enough that everyone that wanted one has one. . .It would be interesting to know what others are seeing.

On a side note, the Macbook and Macbook Pro sections were jammed with people buying left and right, including many first time Mac purchases :)!

That's the store where I got mine two weeks ago. The iPhone section was packed that Saturday afternoon. Suppose it depends on day and time.

the 3 times in the last week i was at the local store (Columbia Mall, Columbia, MD) every iPhone display had at least one person looking at it. they even had a guy staffed to walk over and wipe off the finger prints after someone put one down (weird).

only reason i was there so much is because they're fixing my MBP.

Aloha acrafton,

My niece (from Georgia) is visiting my wife and I over here in Honolulu, and she got to go to her first Apple Store - the one in the Ala Moana Shopping Center - and I noticed one thing. For the first time since the launch of the iPhone, its table in the Apple Store actually had one iPhone free! I was able to snag it for her, and she really enjoyed the touch screen aspect of it! She has a clamshell phone, and really likes what I've shown to her thus far.

I've never seen the iPhone table less than two deep, at least not until last night. The rest of the store was pretty packed as well, but she was also able to scout the MacBooks, MacBook Pros, iMac, and various iPods. She was really surprised that the Apple Store employees pushed actually using the products while in store - that is something which is simply not condoned in other stores.

That being said, I still have yet to see another iPhone "in the wild" here in Honolulu. I use mine constantly, for example when we were waiting for our dinners to be served at Bubba Gump's last night :D People at the table behind ours watched as I used the pictures function to show the "best" pictures of her trip thus far (like when she wiped out trying to boogie board at the beach)

Oddly enough, I try to avoid the Southlake Apple store because of all the people just looking at the iPhone. They seem to clog up all available Mac Specialist that would otherwise be able to help me with my non-iPhone related questions..... Obviously we're going at different times.:p:D

Haha. I bought mine on Launch Day there... and well suffice it to say, everyone was looking at the iPhone then. :)

Since that is the one and only time I have EVER been inside an Apple Store, my impression is 100% of the people in Apple Store's are looking at iPhones. :)

The Southlake, TX Store is too hard to find!! That's where I got my phone Saturday after iDay .. no wait, in and out in 5 minutes tops. Went in today to pick-up some Vibe Duo's (yes, no switch on the mic, they will go to the wife and her iPod Video when the new ones with the switch come out next month), store was empty at 12:30 today, plenty of the phones in stock.

BTW, the Vibes are AWESOME, best I've had. Perfect, tight bottom, good mids, clean highs. Happy happy. quan ao nu han quoc do lot nam cao cap dung cu tap an cho be vay lien cong so nu quan ao ban buon chup anh cho be re dep
