To me, this means one of three things, in order or likelyhood:

1: AT&T purchased the company, and we'll never see the software
2: The whole thing was a scam, and CNN, Engadget, and Gizmodo were duped
3: Some third party (iPhoneUnlocking.com, etc) bought them and are planning to sell the software for even more.

None of which are good for us.

Do I still get my software or will they cancel now is what I am unsure of.

I guarantee you that you will get nothing. Assume you're going to get nothing, because if in the slightest chance you do, then you'll pleased. Sorry, but the whole thing has got scam written all over it in big red letters.

I am becoming less of a believer since there have been so many delays and setbacks. I will be pissed if I lose my money though.

well great we either get the iphone unlock code for a huge price or we dont get it at all and its just pisses all of us off great damn at&t let us be free damn itlol:mad:

How much did you pay, and to whom?

$74.99 on ebay. I bought one unlock from a reseller. I think they had to pay ipohonesimfree already which means that if it is all a scam, their money is gone. And the reseller will probably keep my money, which means my money is gone. The end user always gets screwed.

thats life and it sucks im not trusting anybody until its totally clear that the code works and everything

its pretty simple, if you get no product file a claim with paypal, assuming that's how you paid. If you paid cash or money order kiss it goodbye.

Yea, I'd check the listing and make sure but if you were guaranteed the code then you could probably contest it. Did the listing offer any refunds if it did not work?

Rich, Your not out of your money! IF you paid via Paypal than just file a cliam for no delivery of product. If I were you, I would do this now and if ever in the future they actually get the product you can get it elsewere. It wasn't a good idea to buy something that really doesn't exsist yet. But your not out of your money.

Isn't the software currently precluded from being sold? I mean, it's against the DMCA to sell the means to hack a cell phone, and the last I heard, it's being held up in some court. It is NOT illegal to hack your own phone, but it IS illegal to either offer the solution for free or for a charge. I think this software, and all others that purport to unlock the iPhone, will ever see the light of day.

Buyer beware right? I mean, who pays for a code for something that isn't even in existence yet anyway and on ebay of all places?
Just a thought, but then again it is not like I haven't blown $100 in less than a minute and saw nothing in return!

No doubt, send this unknown company money and wait till they send you unlock software?
Why not wait a little and see if they're actually for real, if other people got the program, if it actually worked etc...
People like to give away their money like that so easilly.
