Hello, everyonce while, ever since running iOS 8 and 9. Sometimes you can just unlock the device without a passcode. I have Touch ID and a passcode enabled and barely have my finger on the button, it would unlock. But when you lock it, it would enable the passcode again.

Fells like a security flaw. I wish I recorded it.

I was running. iOS 9.3 Beta 7 at that moment I think. But it has happend on previous firmwares as well.

Confused... You can unlock your phone without a passcode because you have Touch ID enabled and put your finger on the home button.

Sorry, I meant to say, my phone unlocks as if there's no passcode on it sometimes Even though I do have the passcode and Touch ID enabled

This has happened to me a few times before.

I believe you're trying to say that sometimes you can just swipe to unlock your phone without entering a passcode, although you have one activated along with Touch ID. I think this happens because the phone sometimes gets confused when you try to use Touch ID and it fails for some reason and then the next time you try to unlock it that causes it to remember you scanned your fingerprint and it just unlocks. I don't know exactly, that's just my theory.

I barely put my finger on the home button. How could it sense that?

Do you mean to say that you go to use touchid and the screen says "swipe to unlock" and when you swipe it it just unlocks without a passcode?

If so I think it registers the touch but doesn't unlock the screen. The reason I say that is because I've had it happen to me quite often but never when I'm at work and I'm using a stylus to touch the home button to check for notifications. To me (I know I know statistic of 1) the evidence is overwhelming, happens every so often when using my finger but never when using a stylus.
