I have a question and I was wondering if any knew.

I have an AT&T Family plan with 2 lines. 1 for myself and 1 for my son. I have an iPhone 3G S and he has a iPhone 3G. He is eligible to upgrade come April of this year and I was wondering if he could upgrade at a AT&T Store if he is an Authorized User on my account BUT here's the catch... I reside in California but as of right now he is staying in Texas for a while longer. We both have California numbers being that the account was opened here (California).

I just want to know if he can go into a AT&T Store when the new iPhone comes out and upgrade there (Texas) even if the whole account was started here in California. My name is on the Account but he is an Authorized User. I'm just not so sure that a AT&T Store in Texas will be authorized to Upgrade from an account in another state.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone.

As long as he is authorized to do the upgrade without you being there, it shouldn't be a problem.

I opened my family plan in Denver, CO (with LA phone numbers) during my drive to Los Angeles when we first moved here. I bought my 1st iPhone in Los Angeles.

It shouldn't be a problem. My daughter replaced her 2G iPhone in LA with a 3Gs and she is on my family plan here in Colorado.
