Iphone Upgrade Eligibilty

Hi all,

I have an iphone 3G and my wife and her sister who is in our family plan has an Lg Shine.

I checked ATT and my wifes upgrade eligibilty is May 2010, and mine is August 2010.

Can she upgrade to the June release of the new iphone?
Also once I upgrade in August to a new iphone, can I then send my existing iphone to my brother in India where he can unlock and use it.
How would the activation work, just swapping out the sim card. Does att know whether you are using a particular phone or not and they track based on SiM card.

Ha ha, I apologize I meant once she is eligible in May for the upgrade and once the June iphone is released, can she then upgrade to the released iphone in june /july etc. or does she have to upgrade in May and get whatever is available then.

No, your wife can upgrade to whatever phone she wants at whatever time she wants after May 2010.

Same thing for your upgrade eligibility in August.
