Bought the iPhone 13 two years ago and then the 14 Pro Max that I currently own last year under the upgrade program.

Been paying about $57 per month

Since the cost of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to increase this year I am wondering what my options are. My questions are as follows based on the rumored price increase:

1. If I decide I don't want to increase my monthly upgrade program payments and just keep my current iPhone 14 Pro Max, then I simply don't upgrade and need to finish paying it off for the next 12 months. Am I correct on that?

2. If I decide to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the price increase, then I am simply entering a new contract with a higher monthly payment for the next 24 months...correct?

3. Since I own an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 512GB, if I go with an iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256GB, can I enter a new 24-month upgrade contract with a potentially lower payment since I am opting for smaller storage capacity?

In all, I am looking to upgrade to the iPhone 15 but not have to take on the burden of potentially paying $10 more per month.

Really wish Apple Care was not mandated with the upgrade program as that drives up the monthly cost of ownership and I have never had the use for the insurance in the approx. For 16 years I have owned various iPhones.

Thanks for the help

The first option is better, completely pay off your contract.

Wait for some time after the 15 hype and then decide if you would go for it.

At that point you can trade-in and hopefully get a lower monthly payment contract on that.
