Once I am ready to send in my iPhone 8 Plus with the trade in kit, do I need to remove and keep the sim card I had been using with the iPhone and do I need to remove the glass screen protector or can I keep it n when I send the phone in?

A sim removal tool will be included with the trade in kit so you can remove the sim. It will tell you to do this in the instructions included with the kit. The new phone will come with its own sim card.

Removing the screen protector probably isn’t necessary and I can’t remember if the instructions tell you to remove it if you have one, but it doesn’t take much effort to remove it, so might as well. The phone cannot have any breaks or cracks when trading it in, so Apple will want to inspect the screen once they receive it. Best to just remove it.

Apparently there is some sort of system issue at Apple. I have not received any email or notification about them sending me the box to send my X back. My wife got the email on Thursday, and her box will be here on Tuesday. I called this morning to discuss with Apple, for over an hour. They said they're unable to send out the box because of a system issue, which seems to be affecting "a lot of people". Anyone else in my boat? What should I do?
