So I preordered the same as the previous years, and recieved my trade in kit, and sent my x on its way to apple. A week and a half later, I recieved it back in the mail, no reason or email or anything. I called apple, and apparently the serial number didn’t match. So they figured it out that it was because the phone was replaced, and the serial number wasn’t updated. They finally updated it and sent me a new box to ship it back to them (After calling three times and talking to two different “senior advisors” ) I sent the device back to them and now they are saying the the device is damaged, and that I used my two AppleCare+ (I hadn’t used any) incidents so there is nothing they will do, and the device is on its way back to me, again. When I shipped it to them, it worked fine and had no external damage. I keep my phone in an otter box with a screen protector. I’ve also now payed two payments on this phone that was supposed to have been traded in. Any advice? The senior advisor said that they “may” make an exception and take the device back, and to send it back to them a third time. I also “may” get one or both of my extra payments back. Any thoughts? They can’t even tell we what’s wrong with it. Definitely makes me not want to ever use the apple upgrade program again. (Or even buy another iPhone)
