Why is my iPhone using more data than my girls note8. I dont really use too much internet during the day as I'm working most of the day and have wifi at home. I've turned off background app refresh and turned up video playback on instagram and facebook. hmm. anyone have any tips

It is virtually impossible to compare data usage from 2 different phones used by 2 different people with very different use cases
So many variables... apps used, time spent on the phone, signal strength, and so much more

Just how much data are you using?
and much is the Note 8 using?

Seems about normal to me. For years, My iPhone has always consumed more data over my Android phone.

Apps that I download from the App Store are always far bigger in size then the Android version. Updating apps will use more data on iOS because of this.

As far as other iOS data usage goes, I couldn't say why, it just uses more.
