Interesting how it is "Verifying existing iPhone software". I wonder if those who modded the phone will have issues. May have to do a restore first....

Also the owner's manual has been updated. Publish date of 8-1-07 :) Odd that a software "update" required a manual change. Maybe something has been changed or added.

This will be a good test of those who "knew a marketing guy at Apple" etc. where blowing smoke about iChat being added and other features.

edit: No changes....

but Safari seems snappier!™

edit again: There are more changes than just the list of "security fixes" that Apple says.

• For one, when in Safari and you have several windows open then change orientation ALL windows now orient themselves correctly. Before you could click on pages and get some in landscape and some in portrait depending on what position they were in when "minimized". This could be a problem since the red close X could be blocked by text if the window is in portrait but the phone is in landscape.

• Mail will not BCC you copies of sent mail if needed, before it would copy but not blind so others would see that you are sending yourself a copy.

I am sure there is more....
