So I replaced the power button flex cable, all the buttons are working without any problems. But when I press above the vibrator on the or on the left side of the screen, the vibrator goes on/off.

I removed the screen and tried pressing the vibrator, no problem. Its just when the screen is replaced back it does this. Anyone knows what the problem can be?

Random silent switch on and off - can be caused by pressing sides

Hey,

Also getting the same problem. Fixing a phone for someone (well trying) that had their screen replaced. Once the screen is being put back in (about the 2nd last click) this problem starts. I feel like there is an 'unwanted' connection happening somewhere.
I spent an hour playing with it but could not find a 'cause or solution despite trying to reinstall the screen components (front facing camera etc.).

Does anyone know the exact 'cause of something like this? Why would it happen after a simple screen replacement? Is there something not sitting right? Is it because this guy dropped his phone in the first place?

The metal bracket that holds the ear speaker and front camera in place - I feel like it was touching the vibrator once the screen is placed back on... could this be the cause somehow...?

AT A LOSS! :) Thanks for any advice or help. Just curious.
