iPhone Video Recorder 3G problem

Ok, I have a problem with that app. Either I have to record in low quality, or I have to record in MPEG4 and then encode the video. The only problem is, is that it just doesn't go past 0 percent :(

So I was wondering, could I encode it on my computer instead?
