iPhone vs BlackBerry 8800?

Depends on what you plan on using your phone for...
iPhone is more of a entertainment device rather than a "business" device, like the BlackBerry. If your work place supports BES, I would say get a BlackBerry. If you dont even know what BES is, then just get an iPhone.
If you are such a regular joe, that doesnt need your email Pushed either, then its more of a reason to get an iPhone.
On a side note, BB8800 isnt a fair comparison with the iPhone. BB8800 is more of a business class phone rather than a consumer. Although all blackberries are more "business" phones, the Curve is a fairer comparison. It lacks the GPS but it makes up with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a decent camera.

the camera on iPhone? ... I tried it in store... rather not having it... reason?
- doesnt have AF to ensure its image quality (with sooooo many great camera phones out there, how could u be so cheap on this Apple?)
- capture button placed in the touch screen which leads to inevitable shaking, further degrade the quality (is there anyone who is actually satisfied with iPhone's camera?)
- cannot be used for videocall...
when I was talking about the camera and the 3.5mm jack I was referring to the BlackBerry Curve that I was suggesting over the 8800...
Quite honestly if you are asking for AF and all those other features that a normal digital camera has, I think you are asking too much. Most cameras on any other phone DO NOT have such extravagant features. Only phones that I do know are a line of Sony Ericsson phones that are dedicated to be a camera and a phone.
Most cameras on phones are just made to take a quick picture of something. If you plan on being a photographer with an iPhone's camera, you are looking at the wrong phone and device.

It's just a cell phone camera, and a pretty decent one at that. I have absolutely no complaints about it.
