Ok So I have Apple TV and an iPhone. I don't need the latest and the greatest features and I like that for the most part the iPhones that are released work well and they may be a year behind in some regards to features but that's fine to me if the product works well. The other benefit I see to iPhone is iTunes and a familar software that I don't have to have a new learning curve. Lastly I like Airplay with my apple TV.

However, I'm tempted to hear opinions on this Galaxy mega and the Note 3? bc I'm in real estate and I was thinking of getting an ipad mini to go paperless when showing homes. I think the mega looks obnoxiously big but it might give me the ability to eliminate the need for a tablet and if that's the case I'm ok with looking like a tool when I'm on the phone. Lastly I'm hearing the Mega has a battery that will last a full day with heavy usage. My biggest complaint with my iPhone 4s is how fast it dies. Especially when running Waze which is an app I use all the time in my job.

I know this group might be bias but I'm interested to hear who else might fit this demographic and what things I might be overlooking to sway me in one direction of the other. This 4S isn't cutting it mostly bc of battery life and I'm ready for a chenge but not sure I'm very excited about the 5S. If the 5S were to offer a battery that will last a day with heavy use I would likely stay with Apple and just buy an ipad mini as a companion device.

Note that none of these decisions are based on money. Just needs based.

I suggest Asus Fonepad or Lenovo K900 if you want to think different. Both pack Intel inside.

Asus Fonepad has a microsim slot to take in calls as well. Just throw in a prepaid sim and it acts like a 7-inch that can call and text. You can leave your other phone at home sometimes as it can make a great secondary phone.

The reason I like it is Asus packed a 4325 mAh battery in there and is cheap like under $300. It packs only 1280x800 res which is fine by me as 1080p displays eat up alot of CPU and you wont see a major difference between 720p vs 1080p on a 7-inch screen. The screen time for it I hear is like 9-10 hrs which is similar to the original Nexus 7 which packed a similar battery capacity. But if you want a better version, I suggest waiting on the Fonepad HD 7. Packs a better CPU/GPU. The GPU on the current Fonepad is the Power VR SGX540. Ancient by today's standard. The refreshed model packs the SGX544 GPU which is S4 territory. This is important if you happen to play games on it like Despicable Me Minion Rush.

The Lenovo K900 gives the HTC One a run for its money on beautiful and classy design. It is TALL and 6.9mm THIN and at phablet territory of 5.5 inch/1080p screen. Everything I had read from it has been wonderful like camera, batt life, and performance. Only dealbreaker would be lack of microSD (16GB only storage) and no LTE. It was released just last month here in Manila. Just be ready to handle the size. This phablet had been promoted by Kobe Bryant months ago and it looks like a device that fits better in his hands. But it looks AWESOME!

Out of the three u mentioned, wait on the Note III. Has the S-pen. My Dad is also in real estate has the Note II so that S-pen comes it handy for him when clients need his signature. Best phone he ever had he tells me.

You might want to check out the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, it has a 6.4" screen plus top of the.line specs. Not sure about battery life though.
