Hi

My iPhone 5s ended up in the sink, but was quickly fished out. I took it to local phone repair shop but they've advised there's nothing they can do for it.

I've tried to get the photos from my phone on to my MBP, something I've never tried before. But I seem to only get the last month's worth of photos.

I've logged in to iCloud, and its saying the 5GB is nearly full, most of which seems to be iPhone backups. I can't seem to locate the photos.

So my question is, is there anyway to get the photos off the phone?

You may be able to get at them by using a third party app. The one I use is iExplorer which you can download from the developer's site. Not sure if they have a trial version, but a single license for the app is $35.00.

There are many companies, who are related in restoring data from water damaged devices.. It's not cheap, but can help

Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing a simple solution. She will probably get a new phone, so should be able to restore the last backup from that.

Thanks.

does it back up to iCloud every day?

are you a big iCloud fan?
did you turn on iCloud photo library and pay your 99 cents a month?
then your pictures are safe!

If you had set up a photo stream to your Mac, they would have been there for free. That's how mine works any how, but I don't use my iPhone camera all that much.
