I have 1st generation iPhone and recently i was using Safari and the internet just shut off, when i go to wifi, it scans and never finds anything, I also have an iPod touch and it picks up my home wireless network, so i know its a problem with the iPhone. I tried rebooting, restoring, nothing works. Cant call tech support, plz help,

P.s a link to a free online chat with a iPhone professional would be helpful if you cant help with this issue, thanks

I know you say it is probably an iPhone issue, because the Touch works fine, but have you tried resetting the router at all? Maybe your phone has a faulty wifi card in it. Is 'ask to join networks' turned on? If not then you should try contacting Apple about it, as it's a hardware problem and not a contract problem.

I hope that helps, even if just a little. Best of luck. :)

Some things to try:

- reboot your access point
- check to make sure that your AP's SSID isn't hidden
- restore the iPhone

Hey,

I had a buddy whose 2G iphone did the same thing and took it into an apple store and they decided to replace it no questions asked. I wonder if it was a common fault with the 2G model?
