I was so excited to be able to view my iPhone widgets on my Mac in Sonoma, but the feature is a letdown.

Many of the widgets don't seem to auto-update ... or to be able to update at all.

And the official Battery widget won't show my Apple Watch in it.

Plus, Apple doesn't even allow the Fitness Activity widget to be displayed on the Mac. I don't get why not.

I noticed the watch doesn't show up, probably because it's not connected to the Mac but to the iPhone
My iPhone widgets however update just fine on Mac so I think it's a bug you're experiencing

Unfortunately my iPhone widgets also seem to disappear after a couple hours or so - completely gone, a blank spot where they used to be.

Well, developers need to step up their game on widgets. The 'open the app on iPhone' rather than being intractable and sync back to iPhone is just plain dumb.

Many iPhone app widgets don’t work on my Mac atm. They only show the „open the app on your iPhone“ and actually opening the app in question on the iPhone changes nothing.

Update: It‘s clearly a bug in iOS 17.0.3
Restarting the iPhone helps and all widgets work again. If you let your iPhone working for to long (I‘m talking days) the widgets will stop working one by one.
Hopefully this bug is fixed with 17.1

Updated to 14.1 and 17.1 and the problem is still there with a few of the widgets I am trying to add. They work ok, but I can't customise them
